Mundorf MSilence TWARON® Speaker Dampening Material

TWARON® is an aramide fibre which is especially suited for the acoustic vaporization of amplifier housings. Its excellent damping properties significantly increase the auditory spaciousness of music reproduction. TWARON® is a registered trademark of Taijin Aramid B.V. Arnhem (NL). Its inorganic origin prevents deterioration and mold formation. Comprehensive listening tests show that 3 to 10 grams per litre are sufficient.

RECOMMENDED USE

Sealed speakers:
– Woofer chamber: loose fill the entire chamber with TWARON Angel Hair and start with following amounts:
3-10 grams per liter, so 5 grams would be a good start.
– Midrange chamber: loose fill the entire chamber with TWARON Angel Hair and start with following amounts:
6-15 grams per liter, so 10 grams would be a good start.

Ported speakers:
– In 2-way systems:
– Woofer chamber: loose fill the space behind the woofer making sure the TWARON cannot sink to the bottom of the cabinet by placing some stick, etc. below the woofer first if neccessary. Then fill with TWARON Angel Hair and start with following amounts:
4″ woofer -15g 5″ woofer -20g 6″ woofer -25g 8″ woofer -35g, etc.
Make sure that the port area stays open.
